I was invited by the Thai government to explore the rice culture in Thailand and visited a rice field where I got to try planting and harvest rice and then enjoy a rice themed feast! This was part of the Think Rice Think Thailand Champaign.

  1. Aloha! Visiting Chiang Mai in a few weeks! What is the best way to obtain baht or exchange US $ for baht? Not sure how much to budget daily for food and transportation for a week. Mahalo! 🌺

  2. Was this like an excursion trip that the government set up for you? it seemed like this entire thing had a schedule or an itinerary. is it possible for people to book this exact trip as well? Or is it something that only the government has invited you too and it is exclusive?

  3. Gosh Mike, I am laughing out loud & my mom is being bothered by this, since she understands no English. You’re a natural comedian. You otta be in pictures 🥢🙏🏻😂

  4. Sawadee Kop – Great Vid – My Thai girlfriends Father farm's cattle in Maechaem – Works with the Thai Government! Khob Khun Kop!

  5. I am really appreciating rice right now. Thank you Mike for the introduction to different foods and cultures. My Doctor says I have to eat healthier and you have contributed to the cause, well mostly , unless the word fatty is involved (LOL). Luving all you foodies out there !

  6. Hahaha…Lol I can't stop laughing on your expression face you made when you have to dance with your hand moves. 😂🤣😄 Hi Mike , from Rochester NY.

  7. This was an extremely beautiful episode on mikey Chen. I mean beyond even all the delicious food, to see the rice making and culture… just beautiful.

  8. First time my husband and I had a real papaya salad outside Thailand and we weren't expecting it to be legit so it nearly blew our heads off – not just the spice, either. The flavour is overwhelming and just hits every part of your senses. Real Thai food is amazeballs.
