Which iPad should you buy (2019) – Analysis of iPad Pro vs iPad Air vs iPad Mini vs iPad

In today’s Tech Tuesdays, we discuss recommendations for which iPad is best for which people. I conclude that the iPad Mini is best for those who use an iPad for purely consumption purposes, but if you’re a student, or if you use it for any creative purposes, you’d probably be best served with the iPad Air (2019).

If you’re on a tight budget, the iPad ($319) is a pretty solid shout, and if you have a tonne of spare cash to burn, you can’t get much better than the iPad Pro.

  2. I've seen several video about which iPad you should buy but yours is by far the best one and actually helped me decide

  3. Man I love this guy (nohomo lol). He just straight up say what he thinks unlike most greedy youtubers these days. I still watch the whole video anyway but I like how I know what is what from the beginning.

  4. Hi Ali,

I tried both the Air and the Pro in the store and noticed that there is a difference between the Apple Pencil 1 and 2. There is a slight delay on the 1st gen.

Did they fix that with the new iPadOS or is it still a bit behind?

  5. Like your video very much!! But I already own a dell laptop which I spend about ~900 USD on for my university, but recently I want to get it to digital note-taking, however, I do have three questions to ask
    1. Should I really spending that extra money on ipad just for digital note-taking? As I have already bought a laptop for school
If I do need an ipad together with a laptop
    2. Between the ipad 2018 and ipad 2019, which one should I choose? As ipad 2018 is cheaper where the refurb price can let me own 2018 ipad 128 gb with the price of 2019 32 gb ipad. Also it has with very similar specs with ipad 2019. Moreover, with the background that I want to get a paper-like screen protector for writing notes, the new 10"2 ipad 2019 elecom paper-like screen protector is only available at late November in my country ( I don't do online shopping, so in my country I can only get paper-like protector such as elecom in the shop)
    3. Is it really worth it for the price jump for budget ipad to the ipad air? As it maybe used for my entire 4 year uni.
Thanks for reading and hope you guys can give some suggestion!!

  6. Which memory would you suggest? 64 on the Air is enough for a student? I was uncertain… The Air is better, but I have to choose between 64 (enough?) or 256 ( too much maybe…) while the iPad "normal" have 128… What do I do😱

  7. This is the best comparison I’ve ever watched. The upfront conclusion is the best! My husband who’s lazy to watch videos is already satisfied with the conclusion in the beginning. Lol! You won’t get bored watching this video at all compared to other youtubers. Btw, I have the iPad Air 3 in gold.

  8. If he was going to give speeches or presentations in my classes, i would be wide awake and concentrate the whole time

  9. This is the way to do a review, the upfront nature of the way you give your opinions is very useful and appreciated. Dropped a phat like because of your appreciation for the viewers time <3.

  10. With the new iPad just being released, would you still prefer the iPad Air over the newest iPad (10.2 in) for taking notes and what not?

  11. I listen to this guy’s podcast and I absolutely fell in love with the channel!! Time for me to support your youtube channel too!

  12. Hello Ali,

I love you channel – very inspiring and educating!

I really want to get the iPad Pro but thinking of saving the money and go with the Air.
I’m a bit worried going with that old design, with that home button (specially cause I’m using an iPhone XS and got used to the new design already)

But I was wondering – when using the pencil on the Air – do you ever accidentally press the home button? Seems like it’s in the way while hand writing..

    Thanks 🙏🙏
